LeChase has a long-standing commitment and demonstrated experience in assisting our clients with incorporating energy efficiencies and sustainable design strategy into each project.
LeChase is committed to assisting our clients by developing and incorporating energy efficiencies, sustainable design and construction strategies for their new build and renovation projects.
We believe the benefits to businesses include cost savings from reduced energy, water and waste; lower operating and maintenance costs; and enhanced occupant productivity and health. The environment also benefits from a reduced carbon footprint including reduced levels of related pollution and depletion of fewer resources.
As an active member of the U.S. Green Building Council and the New York Upstate Chapter of USGBC, LeChase is well versed in the LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Rating System and certification process. LeChase uses the LEED rating system as a framework for goal setting with clients, and we have the knowledge and ability to deliver and manage (including the charrette process) projects seeking LEED certification as well as projects that follow a green and sustainable process.
In addition, a key member of the LeChase team is Stephen Beck, LEED®AP BD+C, Chief Sustainability Officer and Director of Science and Technology. Steve is well versed in applying sustainable strategies during design and overseeing their integration during construction. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the New York State Upstate Chapter USGBC and as an education reviewer and auditor for USGBC. Steve and LeChase’s team of over 40 LEED APs, provide support to all projects seeking LEED certification or following a green and sustainable process.
LeChase has significant experience working on LEED projects including those seeking Platinum Certification – the highest level of ranking. LeChase is a signatory to the USEPA ENERGY STAR® Partner Program and actively works with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) on various PON’s (Program Opportunity Notices) and programs. We have acted as the agent working with NYSERDA on several projects and have achieved significant grants on our clients’ behalf.
LeChase’s commitment to the community on global, national, regional and local levels is a key element of our corporate ethics and philosophy. By integrating sustainable, or “green,” building practices into our structures, we create buildings that are cleaner and healthier for occupants and the environment, thus protecting the needs of future generations.
LeChase’s commitment doesn’t stop with the delivery of projects but is part of our daily operations. We have analyzed our operations and made significant changes to improve their green and sustainable impact. They include, but are not limited to: use of 100% recycled content paper, energy audits of LeChase facilities and the incorporation of energy saving measures, elimination of disposal cups and kitchenware (every employee was given a ceramic mug to help support this), and the use of green cleaning products and procedures. At LeChase, improvement to our overall triple bottom line (environmental, social and financial) is part of our company philosophy.
