Waverly Central School District | Capital Improvement Project
This $43.5 million capital improvement project involves work across various district buildings, including the installation of air conditioning at the Waverly High School and Middle School, as well as the Lincoln Street and Elm Street Elementary Schools.
One key effort involves combining the HS/MS gyms to create a wellness center. The middle school gymnasium roof will be raised to install an elevated track, and existing locker rooms will be reconfigured to create team rooms and a fitness area. In addition, the high school and middle school will get new turf baseball and softball fields, and crews will renovate a current shop space into a STEAM center.
Additional work at the elementary schools includes a new secure vestibule at Elm Street, while Lincoln Street will get a new playground, canopies, and renovations to accommodate the relocation of the district office from the HS/MS facility.
