Regions celebrate Construction Safety Week with trainings, stand downs

Many LeChase jobsites held safety stand downs, trainings and other events to celebrate Construction Safety Week, which took place May 6 – 10.

  • In Rochester, the team working on the Rochester Institute of Technology Music Performance Theater project held a stand down along with a safety training session led by guest Jeremy Starr from MSA Safety.
  • In Buffalo, the 356 Hertel project hosted a BBQ and safety stand down with all members of the project. Jeremy Starr again joined the team, delivering a presentation on fall protection and the importance of rescue plans.
  • The NY Metro team held stand downs on many of their projects throughout the week including the New York Presbyterian parking structure, Verizon Ossining, Regeneron OTL and Open Door Family Medical.
  • In the NY Capital Region, many projects also held stand downs to celebrate Safety Week. Teams working on the Hospitality House, University at Albany Colonial Quad and Saratoga County Airport projects – and others – all took the time to stop work and talk about important safety topics.
  • In North Carolina, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools team celebrated Safety Week with over 400 workers on six different projects. LeChase sponsored a break or breakfast on each project for all team members and office staff, utilizing that time to discuss a variety of different safety topics.

These activities throughout Construction Safety Week reinforce the importance of a commitment to safety across all LeChase jobsites, ensuring that every worker returns home safely, just as they arrived at work.
