The Highland Hospital South Patient Tower Addition has received a 2024 Jeffrey J. Zogg Build New York Award. The project was one of six this year to receive the honor, presented by the Associated General Contractors of New York State (AGC NYS).
LeChase served as construction manager – working with Holt Architects – on the four-story, 80,000-SF vertical expansion and penthouse, built above Highland’s existing operating rooms and surgical services observation unit. The newly expanded space provides approximately 58 new private patient rooms on three floors, with one floor dedicated to future build-out. Additionally, 10,000 SF of renovations were completed throughout the existing building to accommodate the necessary connections to the new tower.
The Zogg Build New York Award program honors industry-leading construction projects from across New York State. A 10-member jury of industry peers selects winners based on outstanding management skills, imagination, overcoming challenging and unusual circumstances, scheduling accomplishments and project innovation. Winners will be honored at an event in Spring 2025
Earlier this year, the South Patient Tower project also received a Rochester Business Journal Top Project Award and the Innovation and Construction Management Award from the Construction Specifications Institute Rochester Chapter.
