The Durham office recently banded together to support a local charity this holiday season.
Using a “wishing tree” packet put together by the Ronald McDonald House of Durham, they were able to decorate an office tree with paper ornaments containing wish items for the House and families. Items on the paper ornaments ranged from food and simple supplies to stock the House, to gift cards and presents for babies, children, teenagers and parents. The Ronald McDonald House is very near and dear to the hearts and families in Durham, as it houses families who have sick children being treated at Duke University – providing them a safe haven while they may be dealing with difficult times.
Holly Kuitems led the effort in promoting the drive and collections, and it was absolutely heartwarming to see ornaments disappear off the tree, then see the tree fill with presents and supplies. The Ronald McDonald staff graciously welcomed the bags of gifts, delivered by Holly and Darbee Jackson. It is a true honor to work with co-workers who support causes such as this that help give a special Christmas to those in a time of need.
