Durham employees were honored to be among the hundreds of volunteers helping support the Durham Rescue Mission’s annual toy drive on December 22. The event started with volunteers preparing a huge meal of grilled turkeys and sides to feed the more than 4,000 people who attended. Following the lunch, thousands of toys donated by the community were distributed in toy bags, and families shopped for clothing and coats.
This year, more than 20 LeChase employees and family members joined in to support the cause. The group was assigned the duty of packing toy bags for distrbution and organizing food donations in the Mission’s large pantry.
