The team on the National Women’s Hall of Fame renovation in Seneca Falls recently installed a bell tower on top of the building – marking the substantial completion of the project. After previously placing the steel support beams, the team was able to lift in the bell to complete the tower.
The overall project transformed the building’s second floor into a larger space to honor the Hall’s inductees, freeing up the first floor to house supporting exhibits. The project also restored many historic aspects of the building including the spiral staircase and original wood floors. Many modern elements were also added including a new main staircase and an elevator shaft with a glass connector, which both provide better access to all areas of the Hall.
