School districts aren’t the only ones closely watching the emergence of electronic school buses. Recently, LeChase participated in an EV bus safety awareness course aimed at districts and first responders in the Corning region.
LeChase’s Joe Rumsey attended the event to learn how the company can better support K-12 clients in their transition from internal combustion engine buses to electric vehicle, or EV, fleets.
“Having worked on a number of transportation centers and bus garages in the past, it is important for our teams at LeChase to understand how the change to electric vehicles will affect aspects of those projects,” Rumsey noted.
The after-hours event included information on safety and maintenance of the buses, which will help LeChase plan and budget for future infrastructure projects for its K-12 clients.
