The newly opened affordable housing complex – Station 25 – was recognized with a Preservation Initiative Award from the Historic Albany Foundation.
Each year, the foundation presents Preservation Merit Awards to projects, individuals, and organizations committed to preserving Albany’s historic architecture. Located at 25 Delaware Avenue, the new, affordable housing complex named Station 25 revitalized Albany’s Historic Fire Signal Equipment Building.
LeChase served as the general contractor – through the Conifer-LeChase joint venture – on the $22 million project, which celebrated its opening with a ribbon cutting on September 17. The new wood-framed apartment building provides 51 affordable housing units with a fitness center, lounge and other amenities located in the adjacent restored masonry building.
