On January 22, the Durham chapter of NAWIC held a dinner for families at the Ronald McDonald House of Durham. Located less than a mile from Duke Children’s Hospital, the house serves the Durham and Wake County areas.
LeChase’s Denise Barnes, who is co-chair of community engagement for the local NAWIC chapter, volunteered with other members to host the event. Donations raised at the chapter’s annual holiday party funded the dinner, which served 75 families.
