On September 28, the Durham office held its annual Subcontractor Appreciation event, at the American Tobacco Campus Full Frame Theatre. The event was themed “Building Partnerships” in recognition of the value of the subcontractor market as partners and the important role they play in the success and growth of the Durham office. About 125 subcontractors, along with LeChase employees, attended the event.
Jack Goodrich and Seth London kicked things off, thanking all of the subs for their work and dedication to our projects and success. Following the welcome, brief messages were given by Regional Safety Manager Glenn Turner, Director of Preconstruction Steve Loneman and Regional Diversity Manager Denise Thompson.
This year, the event added a new recognition component. Project teams were able to nominate a subcontractor that worked on their job during the last year for going above and beyond in two categories: Outstanding Safety Performance and Outstanding Subcontractor Performance.
A panel reviewed all nominations submitted to determine the winners, with Donley’s Concrete winning for safety and O.C. Mitchell for subcontractor performance. An additional award was given to Precision Walls for their ongoing and continued partnership in preconstruction.
Following the presentations, subcontractors and LeChase employees enjoyed some light food, drink, networking, and mingling.
