Every year, the Northeastern Subcontractors Association of New York sponsors an event in Latham, N.Y., to give its members a chance to ‘put faces with the names’ of estimators and purchasing teams they routinely deal with but rarely see in person. This year’s event was co-sponsored by the Associated General Contractors of New York, and 26 of the Capital District’s leading construction firms – including LeChase – participated.
“We’ve attended every year since the office opened up here,” explained Scott Lawler of the Albany office. “We meet with new folks and add them to our list to start bidding and also spend time with our existing subcontractors.” Lawler was joined at this year’s event by LeChase representatives from both Albany and Rochester, including Peter Muench, Christina Muench, Scott Lawler, Zach Froio, Tim Hanke, Anthony DeSousa, Abbey Stein, Angelo DiFrancesco, Andrew McKay and Mike Corey.
The LeChase table was a popular place, keeping the team busy all evening. Of the 500 to 600 attendees, Scott figures they met with more than 400 people from various firms. “It was great to be able to talk to so many subcontractors who are interested in working with us on upcoming projects,” he said.
