In Durham, members of the Future Leaders program recently held their sixth session – marking the half-way point in the year-long program of professional development. LeChase has conducted similar programs for young professionals in other locations, but this group is Durham’s ‘pilot’ class. Their April meeting was held at the Cypress of Raleigh jobsite, where program facilitators – Superintendent Jason Varner and Project Manager Kathryn Payne – led the group on a tour of the project.
After the tour, project owner Mark Andrews of TME Investments hosted the group for dinner at the Cypress of Raleigh clubhouse and spoke about client satisfaction and personal development. Mr. Andrews has had amazing success in his career and shared his philosophies on success with the future leaders. He started his presentation with a quote: “Your level of success rarely exceeds your level of personal development, because success is something you attract by the person you become.” Incredibly passionate about the topic, he went into great detail about how important it is to continue to grow throughout your career and to always look for ways to make yourself better – not better than the person next to you, but better than the person you were the day before. The team greatly appreciated the generosity of his time.
