Genesee County Jail project receives APWA award

The Genesee County Jail project was recognized at the American Public Works Association (APWA) Genesee Valley Branch awards banquet on January 30. The project received an award in the category for structure projects valued between $25 million and $75 million.

Held annually, the APWA awards banquet honors the region’s top public works projects.

LeChase served as the general contractor on the new 80,000-SF jail, which includes 184 cells across four pods, as well as an administrative building and a standalone maintenance building.
