LeChase CEO and Managing Partner Bill Goodrich was among speakers at a groundbreaking for UR Medicine’s Orthopaedic & Physical Performance Center. LeChase is construction manager for the 330,000-SF project, which involves new construction as well as renovations to former retail space. Located at The Marketplace Mall in Rochester, the center is the University of Rochester’s largest-ever off-site project.
“Congratulations to U of R for your continued commitment to our community,” Goodrich said. “This facility will be an additional asset providing excellent healthcare and, at the same time, stimulating and being a catalyst for economic development. We are proud to play a role in its delivery.”
In March, a media tour marked the start of renovations that will transform a former Sears store into an ambulatory surgery center. That portion of the project should open next year. The recent groundbreaking marked the start of construction on an adjacent four-story patient tower. When the campus is complete in 2023, it will be one of the largest and most advanced orthopaedic facilities in the nation.
