The Paychex Junior Achievement Discovery Center project has received a 2024 Excellence in Partnering Award from the Associated General Contractors of New York State. Each year, the award honors project teams that have achieved the high ideals of both formal and informal partnering on construction projects across the state.
LeChase partnered with Junior Achievement of Central Upstate NY and architect SWBR on the design-build project, which celebrated its grand opening in February. The completed Discovery Center – the first of its kind in New York State – provides students with the opportunity to apply classroom lessons in a real-world setting. The center features 19 different storefronts where students become citizens in a simulated economy, exploring various careers, workforce readiness, and financial literacy.
LeChase Regional Director of Business Development Mike Corey was joined by Scott Townsend from SWBR to accept the award at a ceremony on December 11.
