Durham, N.C., December 22, 2021 – LeChase Construction Services, LLC announces the promotion of Kathryn Taylor Payne to project executive in its Durham office.
In this role, Payne will manage large or multiple projects for core clients, with accountability for quality, value and safety, as well as responsibility for overseeing recruitment and training of project team members.
Payne started her career as a project engineer in 2008, then worked her way through more senior project management roles. She joined LeChase in the 2016 acquisition of Lendlease USA’s North Carolina operations.
With LeChase, Payne has focused largely on higher education and life sciences projects. She has been the higher education market sector leader for the company’s southeast region since 2017. Her projects have won several Eagle and Merit Awards in the Associated Builders and Contractors Carolinas Excellence in Construction (EIC) Awards programs, with the JB Duke & Thomas Executive Conference Center receiving a national EIC Pyramid Award in 2018.
Payne has a degree in construction science and management from Clemson University, and LEED AP® (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. A resident of Raleigh, N.C., she currently participates in Leadership Raleigh – a business and community leadership program offered through the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce.
