A message from Project Executive Ken Osmun, LeChase sustainability lead.
We’re proud to celebrate Green Building Week, and the surge of sustainable construction practices within our industry.
At LeChase, we’ve successfully completed $3 billion worth of LEED projects in the past decade. In addition, we’re actively engaged in projects that embrace the principals of WELL Certification, Passive House (Phius/Energy Star), Living Building Challenge, and Net-Zero Energy initiatives.
There’s still more to do. Working with our clients, designers and business partners, we continue to expand our focus on reusing materials, curtailing waste, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing the well-being of those who use the spaces we construct. Through training and by strengthening our team’s LEED and WELL credentials, we’re preparing them to more effectively integrate sustainable practices across our projects, regardless of certification goals. We’re also collaborating with others in the industry through Building Green’s Green Peer Network. This invaluable networking platform unites like-minded construction professionals who are dedicated to advancing sustainability through commitment, collaboration, improvement, and innovation.
Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing project stories related to green building. Our aim is to initiate meaningful conversations, drive innovation, and underscore the numerous benefits of having an eco-conscious approach.
