LeChase has a long-time relationship with Alfred State College, and for more than a decade the firm has attended the school’s career fairs.
At this year’s spring fair on March 1, Project Manager Paul Cody and Project Engineer Cameron Sprague – both of the Corning office – met with students in the school’s construction management, architecture, business and trades programs.
While Paul has represented LeChase at a number of these events, it was a first for Cameron, who joined the company last year after graduating from Alfred State with a degree in technology management and diesel technology/repair.
“It was exciting to talk to the students and hear their interests in the construction field,” said Cameron, who had previously attended the fair as a student. “Seeing how eager the upcoming graduates are to finish and enter the workforce is a positive thing for the industry.”
LeChase continues to build its relationship with Alfred State through activities like the career fair, which has resulted in a number of hires over the years.
