LeChase will be the construction manager for an upcoming renovation of Lilly Library on Duke University’s historic East Campus. Scheduled to start next summer, the renovation will include upgraded study spaces and a café, among other amenities.
LeChase is very familiar with working on Duke’s east campus and with the methods and materials needed to renovate the 1920s-era buildings located there. Over the years, projects have included upgrades to Baldwin Auditorium, East Union, Brown Dorm and Giles Dorm. LeChase has also performed upgrades and safety improvements to the tunnel system that traverses under the East Campus buildings.
Some project team scheduled to work on the East Campus library renovation have previously handled renovations and improvements to Perkins, Bostock and Rubenstein Libraries on the school’s West Campus.
