The LeChase southeast team recently sponsored and participated in several Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week events in North Carolina. Since 1983, MED Week has served to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of minority business enterprises. It also honors companies and financial institutions that support minority business development.

In Durham, activities ran October 3-7, and included a session on current and future opportunities for minority firms in construction as well as a minority business fair. At the Triad MED Week event held October 5 in Greensboro, LeChase Regional Diversity Manager Denise Barnes participated in a day of educational sessions and networking.
The events concluded on October 17-18, with a statewide celebration in Raleigh themed “Power in Capital – Strength in Equity.” The agenda featured information sessions, guest speakers from the state, lunch, awards and a business expo.
