On February 22, ABC Carolinas Chapter held its 2019 Safety Conference at the Great Wolf Lodge in Concord, North Carolina. LeChase played a role in the successful event, with Regional Safety Director Brooke Hathaway leading planning efforts for the conference and Vice President Seth London serving as a panelist.
“It was great to see LeChase leadership represent the company in a big way throughout the conference,” said Brooke. “We are industry leaders in safety for a reason. Sharing our best practices and keeping it our top priority aligns with our overall strategy of delivering excellence.”
The event kicked off with a breakfast followed by a session on “Hispanic Culture in our Industry.” Following, attendees engaged in a session that focused on various approaches to motivate project teams. During the “Best Practices” panel, Seth discussed safety in the local market. Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in a mock OSHA trial.
During the conference, ABC held a STEP Awards luncheon to recognize members for their safety performance. LeChase once again received an ABC STEP Platinum Award. Brooke, Safety Manager Hank Slemp and Senior Project Manager Barbara Lytle accepted the award, on behalf of LeChase, from North Carolina Department of Labor Commissioner Cherie Berry.
