Two LeChase projects won top honors in their categories at Buffalo’s annual Brick by Brick Awards. The Lockport Family YMCA won in the New Construction Category, while the Mackenzie Complex at Alfred State received the award for Collegiate projects.
Given annually by Buffalo Business First magazine, the awards recognize best-in-class real estate, construction and development in Western New York.
The Lockport YMCA, which opened in October 2018, had recently been honored for interior design. LeChase was CM-at-Risk on the $13.2 million project, which replaced a 92-year-old facility in the community.
LeChase was general contractor for renovation of the MacKenzie Complex. The $14.7 million residence hall renovation was officially opened in the spring of 2018.
In addition to its work on the winning projects, LeChase served as general trades contractor for the Learning Commons at Niagara County Community College, which was a finalist in the Collegiate category.
