On Thursday, July 27, the Niagara University Kiernan Recreation Center project received top honor in the collegiate category at Buffalo’s Brick by Brick Awards.
Given annually by Buffalo Business First magazine, the awards recognize best-in-class real estate, construction and development in Western New York.
LeChase served as general contractor on the renovation project, which transformed the existing 43,600-SF recreation center and constructed a new two-story, 18,000-SF addition. The scope included a new weight room, sports medicine suite, dance studios, locker rooms, storage, meeting spaces and offices.
LeChase Regional Operations Manager Jeff Panza accepted the award alongside Bob Morreale, CFO at Niagara University.
A second LeChase project, Ellicott Development’s mixed-use facility at 478 Main, was a finalist in the Historic Renovation category.
