Buffalo, N.Y., June 5, 2023 – LeChase Construction Services, LLC is pleased to announce the promotion of Stephanie Pennington to director of DEI and supplier diversity, based in Buffalo.
In this role, Pennington is responsible for the implementation of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) at LeChase including trainings, key initiatives and strategic partnerships. She acts as a liaison in the communities where LeChase operates to foster interest in careers within the construction industry for women and minorities.
Pennington also leads the LeChase Supplier Diversity Program and acts as a subject-matter expert to project teams for projects with diversity and inclusion compliance goals. She is responsible for the design, implementation and oversight of small businesses’ mentorship programming and mentor-protégée initiatives.
Pennington joined LeChase as a XBE compliance manager in 2018. She has 20 years of experience in education and private industry, including more than six years as diversity compliance manager for another contractor in western New York. She has a B.S. in sociology and political science, an M.S. in interdisciplinary social science and a J.D. in finance and community economic development. Pennington currently resides in Getzville, N.Y.
