LeChase placed 2nd among all Northeast Region entries in the annual NAWIC (National Organization for Women in Construction) Safety Excellence Awards competition. The awards honor member companies that recognize safety as a corporate value and commitment, as evidenced by excellent and innovative safety programs, employee training and management initiatives. Submitted in February, the LeChase entry competed with entries from across the region’s 15 chapters, which together represent more than 400 companies in the construction industry. By placing 2nd regionally, the LeChase entry will go on to the national competition, with winners to be announced at the NAWIC Annual Meeting and Education Conference in San Antonio, Texas, in August.
LeChase is part of the NAWIC Greater Rochester Chapter #314, and is represented by members Michelle Schleher, Sherry Jackson and Florence Indovina. Florence accepted the award on behalf of LeChase at the NAWIC Northeast Regional Spring Forum in Mystic, Ct., in May.
