Last weekend, Project Executive Kailly Mintel and Project Engineer Laura Sapienza attended the National Women’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony, spending time with Hall of Fame member Linda Alvarado.
Honored in 2003, Alvarado is founder and sole owner of Alvarado Construction and a pioneer for women in the construction industry. Throughout the weekend, Mintel acted as an “ambassador” to Alvarado, attending the various events with her and taking her around the Hall of Fame site.
LeChase is excited to begin renovations on the Hall, with a groundbreaking coming up in mid-October. This project includes renovation and expansion of usable space, addition of a new stairway and elevator shaft and restoration of the historic smokestack adjacent to the building. Mintel leads the project team, which also includes Sapienza and other women in key roles. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2023.
