Over the last few weeks, LeChase crews have been hard at work completing large concrete pours on projects across our regions. Typically, concrete pours start early in the morning to control factors such as temperature and sun – especially in the warm summer months – that can affect the quality and finish of the concrete.
At the new Fairlife dairy processing plant in Webster, NY, the self-perform team from LeChase’s Rochester operations successfully placed and finished 1030 cubic yards of concrete for the project’s automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) slab. Arriving on-site as early as 2:30 a.m., crews began pouring at 4:00 a.m. and the slab was finished by 6:00 p.m. the same day. This pour was the first of nine planned for the project.
At the Rochester Institute of Technology, the LeChase team has been completing pours for the new Music Performance Theater project.
In the New York Capital Region, the team working on the Mohawk Harbor Event Center project recently completed a 946-cubic-yard pour. To place and finish the concrete within the day, the team started pouring at 5 a.m.
Similar pours will be happening across LeChase projects through the rest of the summer.
