LeChase has been selected to construct a new storage facility at the Westchester County Department of Emergency Services Training Center. Located on the Grasslands Campus of Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y., the center trains firefighters throughout Westchester County.
“We are proud to build this new structure for a center that serves such a vital core mission, and provides crucial safety services, for Westchester County,” said Vice President David Campbell, in the LeChase New York Metro office in Armonk.
The storage facility will be erected on what is now a parking lot. LeChase expects to break ground in April and complete the 23,000-square-foot metal structure by summer 2023. Pieces of the facility will be fabricated remotely and then assembled onsite. The finished building will have a maximum height of 26 feet, and will feature a sloping roof and two vehicle bay doors.
“The roof will be covered with solar panels to contribute to the center’s sustainability and environmental sensitivity – a goal aligned with LeChase’s values and practices,” said Luke Stoddard, LeChase project executive for the structure.
