LeChase recently converted a clinical treatment space into an Acute Brain Injury NeuroRehabilitation Unit for UR Medicine. Located in a patient tower at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, the unit will serve patients recovering from traumatic brain injuries, brain tumors and strokes. The new space provides 11 private patient rooms, a dining/recreation space, staff lounge, staff locker room and restroom, multi-purpose/AV room and day space.
As part of the scope, crews also replaced an air handling unit (AHU) that serves the entire tower, and relocated plumbing to accommodate showers in the new patient rooms. LeChase was general contractor for the renovation, which began in October 2022.
