Located at 25 Delaware Avenue in Albany, this project included the construction of a new affordable housing building and the renovation of a historic adjacent masonry structure, that formerly served as a fire signal equipment building for the Albany Fire Department.
The new four-story, 63,500-SF, wood-framed building was built over a reinforced concrete podium and provides 51 units. The existing 5,000-SF historic structure was repurposed to include a fitness center, lounge and other amenities for residents. The scope also included site clearing, selective demolition, roofing, siding, insulation, firestopping and the installation of new mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) and fire protection systems.
