Graycliff Conservancy, Inc. | Graycliff Visitor Center Expansion
This project involves the renovation and expansion of the visitor center at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Graycliff, while preserving the historic integrity of the estate. The updated structure will incorporate several architectural elements, including decorative cast-in-place concrete walls, full-height curtain walls and an inverted living roof system. The facility’s interior design will feature polished concrete flooring, exposed concrete wall finishes and natural woodwork throughout, tying into the existing Graycliff state’s architecture.
The scope of work also includes significant site improvements, such as upgraded utilities, bioretention basins to sustainably manage stormwater, exposed aggregate sidewalks and new patios. Careful modifications will also be made to the site’s Martin family historic gardens.
