Healthpeak Properties / Longfellow Real Estate Partners | Carmichael Building
Renovation of the historic Carmichael Building at 300 N. Duke Street in Durham, NC, included two phases of similar scope encompassing conversion of the existing warehouse space into a first-class research environment for the Duke University School of Medicine. Work on both floors consisted of constructing core and shell elements and fitting out the tenant areas with office space, lab space and lab support areas. Construction included interior partitions, decorative stairways and a service elevator—as well as installation of casework, equipment, flooring, doors, hardware, plumbing, electrical and mechanical work.
