Highland Hospital | Surgical Services & Observation Unit
This project consisted of the construction of a $28 million, two-story addition that will include six new, state-of-the-art operating rooms and a 26-bed observation unit totaling 30,000 SF. This is Highland’s largest capital project in their history. The addition updated and expanded the hospital’s perioperative area, created a dedicated space for patient observation and increased the number of private rooms for inpatient units.
The addition allows reconfiguration to improve efficiencies and flow for the hospital and was phased to allow the OR to maintain operations during the entire construction effort.
