Harolds Square is a commercial/multi-unit housing project located in the heart of Ithaca, N.Y. The developer asked LeChase to take over the project from another contractor when steel and masonry work were already underway. Scope of the 180,000-SF project covered redevelopment of the historic William Henry Miller building as well as construction of a new twelve-story tower on a tight, downtown site. The tower, which includes 78 apartments, is qualified under the NYS Energy and Development Authority’s Tier 3 Multifamily Program for energy efficiency. The development also provides ground floor retail space and four floors of professional office space.
