NY Battery and Energy Storage Tech (BEST) | Test and Commercialization Center
This project consisted of renovations to tenant space in Kodak Building 308 in Rochester, N.Y., and included build-out of an office area and test lab.
Due to the prototypical nature of this project, the facility included utility infrastructure to support a multitude of environmental chamber rooms, as well as significant power distribution for testing purposes. LeChase spent numerous months during the design phase in close partnership with the owner and design team in the development of the project to ensure the owner’s goals were met while keeping project costs within allowable funding constraints.
The new space is used to test the life and performance of batteries and alternative energy sources. The goal of the testing is to accelerate commercial deployment of energy storage and technologies.
