Rochester Institute of Technology | Global Cybersecurity Institute
This 48,000-SF, three-story facility supports advanced research, industry and government outreach, and increased enrollment in cybersecurity and related fields of study. Unique features include a first-floor simulation lab that allows students to experience real-world cybersecurity situations, and exterior windows designed to reflect binary code. The new building is attached to the university’s Thomas B. Golisano Hall. With occupied and functional buildings surrounding the site, logistics for the project were challenging. For example, to keep a central loading dock open, LeChase worked with RIT on a phasing plan to relocate underground utilities – expediting placement of a new turn-around driveway for the dock.
