YMCA of Greater Rochester | Eastside Family YMCA Expansion
Due to its successful construction of the Eastside Family YMCA, LeChase was hired to build a 33,000-SF addition to the facility and perform the associated sitework. The addition provided space for a new sports performance center, a two-story youth and family gymnasium and a spin studio. It also included shell space for a future build-out by UR Medicine, marking the first partnership between a hospital and a YMCA in New York State.
During construction, LeChase placed high priority on ensuring the safety of thousands of members and minimizing disruption at the site. Close coordination with YMCA staff ensured that major construction activities did not interfere with the facility’s daily operations.
