On Friday, July 12, the National Women’s Hall of Fame celebrated its grand reopening and unveiling of the second-floor exhibit space with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Executive Vice President and COO Kyle Sayers, Project Executive Kailly Mintel and Assistant Project Manager Laura Sapienza represented LeChase at the event.
LeChase served as the CM-at-Risk for the most recent phase of renovations at the Hall. The project restored or replicated many of the building’s original elements, including the spiral staircase, wood floors and bell tower. It also added modern features, like a main staircase and a new elevator shaft with glass connector, to provide better access to all areas of the Hall.
This summer, the newly renovated and accessible second floor is hosting the Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street traveling exhibition Voices and Votes: Democracy in America, a part of the Museum Association of New York’s humanities discussion series “A New Agora for New York: Museums as Spaces for Democracy.”
