On August 26, LeChase joined the University at Albany at a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of “The Well” – a new recreation and wellness center located in the campus’ Colonial Quad. Senior Vice President Jim Scheirer and Regional Operations Manager Andrew McKay attended the event alongside project team members Tim Hanke, Kaleigh Kupiec and Rick Elsenbeck.
LeChase, through its NY Capital Region office, served at the general contractor for the $37.8 million project, which renovated the existing dormitory space and enclosed the courtyard to create the new recreation center.
“[The Well] is truly a game changer for this campus,” noted UAlbany President Havidán Rodríguez. “The University at Albany is proud to be a health-promoting university.” The new center includes a spinning room, cardio space, fitness suite, meditation room, mat room and more.
