The LeChase Saratoga County Airport project team – Project Executive Tim Hanke, Project Engineer Brent Bochenek, and Superintendent Americo DiCocco – recently hosted a lunch & learn session about excavation on the project.
LeChase is the single prime general contractor on the $28.5 million effort to construct a new fixed-base operator terminal building and jet hangar at the Saratoga Springs, NY, airport.
The event gave LeChase Capital District project managers, project engineers, and estimators a chance to learn about work underway to prepare for installation of a 30,000-gallon fiberglass fire protection tank and fiberglass pump vaults under the hangar slab. That work involves a 21-foot-deep excavation with a telescoping trench box for the pump vaults and sheet piling for the 30,000-gallon tank.
