Denise Barnes, LeChase regional diversity manager in the southeast, attended the American Contract Compliance Association (ACCA) 2019 National Training Institute.
Formed in 1986, the ACCA is dedicated to ensuring equitable contracting and employment practices through education and training. Its members are public and private sector professionals who work in fields related to equal employment opportunity, supplier diversity and contract compliance. The comprehensive ACCA training program provides them a unique opportunity to study among nationally recognized experts in those fields.
“It’s amazing to work for an organization like LeChase that encourages you to learn and connect with other compliance and diversity professionals from all over the country,” Denise said.
ACCA participants can earn three levels of certification over time. At last year’s conference, Denise completed the 42 hours of training required to become a Certified Compliance Administrator (CCA). This year, she completed work toward her Master Level certification, or MCA, which requires an additional 42 hours. MCA graduates can then complete a two-day program to earn the highest certification: Executive Certified Master Compliance Administrator (ECMCA).
This year’s training took place from August 13 to 18. Sessions covered such topics as setting project goals, ethics and building an inclusive workforce.
