On Thursday, May 13, stakeholders for the Durham Public Schools Elementary School F project participated in a Success Planning kick-off. LeChase, partnering with SGS as construction manager for the project, hosted the event at its Durham office. Representatives from the Durham Public Schools and design firm EVOKE Studio also attended.
During the kick-off, the stakeholders defined measures of success for each member and for the overall project. They also developed the following mission statement for their work: “To imagine, design and construct an environmentally responsible and transformative elementary school that ignites the natural curiosity of children and serves as a beacon that cultivates the limitless potential of our students.”
Construction of the school should begin in 2022 and finish in 2023.
