On Tuesday, May 2, the LeChase New York Capital Region team working on the University at Albany’s SEFCU Arena held a safety stand-down. The session was led by MSA safety representative Jeremy Starr, and discussed fall protection, proper harness use and the recent updates to ANSI standards regarding Self Retracting Devices (ANSI 359.14).
Jeremy also touched on heat-related illness in the workplace and gave a new V-Gard C1 hard hat for the project team to give to the next worker making a Good Catch. Good Catch is a LeChase program that recognizes employees and subcontractors for speaking up and taking action when they see a potential hazard on a jobsite.
