On Thursday, July 25, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) downtown Buffalo headquarters project received top honor in the Historic Preservation category at Buffalo’s Brick by Brick Awards.
Given annually by Buffalo Business First magazine, the awards recognize best-in-class real estate, construction and development in Western New York.
LeChase served as the construction manager for the renovation project, which restored many historic elements of the building while rejuvenating 54,000 square feet on floors 3 through 5 to provide a contemporary and vibrant new headquarters space for the USACE Buffalo District. The project also integrated new MEP, HVAC and safety systems within the building.
LeChase Regional Operations Manager Chris Kulik and Project Manager John Gianadda accepted the award alongside Frank Jacobi from Ellicott Development.
