The Western New York Branch of the American Public Works Association named the University at Buffalo (UB) Murchie Family Fieldhouse a 2019 Structural Project of the Year. LeChase served as general contractor for the Fieldhouse, which opened in 2019.
The award was presented in the category for projects between $5 million and $25 million. Regional Operations Manager Jeff Panza and Project Engineer John Gianadda represented LeChase at the awards banquet held February 13 in Buffalo. Other LeChase team members on the project included Vice President Mike Mallon, Senior Project Manager Scott Hoffman, Superintendent Ed Dooley and Carpenter Foreman Mike Mamoone.
